    STUDY OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSE

    PURPOSE

We aim to develop recommendations for future use in the follow up care of patients treated for colorectal cancer by investigating current pathways and follow up, its effectiveness and the views of patients with regards to this.

    OBJECTIVES

    • Understand how the cancer journey/diagnosis has affected patients.
    • Understand how patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer are followed up post treatment.
    • Understand the patient’s perception of the clinician that they see?
    • What is the focus of their follow up?

    OUTCOME MEASURES/ENDPOINTS

Qualitative interviews will enable us to:

    • Understand what the expectations of colorectal cancer patients were following being diagnosed with cancer.
    • Explore how patients’ follow up consultations are carried out.
    • Understand the patient-clinician relationship and how this may influence the consultation.
    • Explore the views of patients of what they feel the focus of their follow up care is.
