  • Data collection arrangements

We plan to collect more outcome data in the 15 years after SE from hospital records including:
Death and cause (cardiovascular),myocardial infarction, revascularisation surgery or stent procedures, and re-admission with chest pain

On completion of collection of outcome data, all patient identifiable data will be removed and unique ID numbers allocated.

This anonymised Database will be used and shared with Computer Scientists at the Open University for the subsequent stages of the research study.

The password protected Database with patient identifiable data will be stored on NHS computers at the hospital and will not be accessible to collaborators at the University. Only Clinicians based at hospital will have access to this Database. We aim to have a complete data set that will not have any sensitive data held in it.
