Research summary
The aim of this study is to use fresh cancer samples from different cancers and different patients and make cell cultures. This will allow Imagen to test different drugs on multiple samples from multiple patients with different genetic make-ups to test which type of drug will be the most effective for which type of patient with which particular type of cancer. The cancer cells derived from the patients via the cell culture will be divided over many "test tubes" and screened against different compounds at different dosages using high throughput screening with 384 well plates.
