Research summary
This study will highlight current referral rates of sickle cell patients to the Dietitian, what the quality of the patient engagement is at present as well as look at the attitudes of SCD patients towards Dietitians.
The aim of this project is to establish the factors affecting the engagement of SCD patients with the Dietitian including;
• When are patients referred
• Who refers them to the Dietitian
• Reasons for referral to the Dietitian
• Current engagement with the Dietitian
• Establish factors to improve engagement with Dietitian
• Attitude of SCD patients towards DietitiansREC name
