Research summary
DNA will be extracted from whole blood and bone marrow aspirates collected in K2-EDTA tubes. The samples have been collected from healthy patients and patients diagnosed with either Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) or Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS). The DNA will be extracted from both fresh and frozen samples. The extracted DNA will be used in feasibility and development assessments of an IDH mutation detecting qPCR assay.
