  • Research summary

This study looks to investigate the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in the cause of stroke-like episodes (SLE). We hope by understanding this the findings may serve as a therapeutic target to prevent and/or delay the onset and development of SLE. This research may also be helpful in understanding the role of defective energy metabolism and changes to blood flow to the brain in more common disorders such as migraine and vascular stroke.
