Research summary
Through semi-structured interviews, this pilot study will explore the experiences of people with acquired haemophilia in the Katharine Dormandy Haemophilia Centre. The study will help us understand the challenges faced in healthcare for people with this condition, including diagnosis, treatment, and support. The study will also seek to understand the emotional and psychological impacts of living with acquired haemophilia on social relationships, work, and daily functioning. Therefore, this pilot study will help us better understand the psychosocial needs of individuals diagnosed with acquired haemophilia and their coping mechanisms. Following participant identification and informed consent, participants will be invited to attend 1 interview with the researcher, Assistant Psychologist Eleni Zerma. The researcher will conduct 30-minute to 90-minute individual semi-structured interviews.
