Despite research supporting the importance of the transition period and early admission periods for both service-users and carers, current research does not focus on such transition periods, and the existing data on admission experiences provides little specific information about experiences of the first week of admission. F
This study will therefore seek to explore service-users' and carers' experiences of the transition from the community into inpatient care.
