Research summary
The study will aim to explore the views and experiences of how young people with Type 1 diabetes of looking at glucose data, particularly when they are not in clinic or speaking to members of the diabetes team.
There has been little research into how young people with Type 1 diabetes feel about looking at their glucose data. It is important to explore this in order to better understand their experiences and to identify what makes looking at glucose data easy or hard to do. This may lead diabetes HCP's to offer better support to young people.
The study will involve young people aged 14-18 years who have been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes for more than 6 months. It will be a qualitative study using semi structured interviews. The interviews will take place either face to face or via Microsoft teams and will be undertaken April-May 2022.REC name
