  • Research summary

This study has been commissioned by Pancreatic Cancer UK.

The aim of this study is to conduct a survey with adult pancreatic cancer patients to:
    1) Increase understanding of the information and support needs of those affected by pancreatic cancer
    2) Explore patient experiences of care
    3) Explore awareness of Pancreatic Cancer UK charity and awareness / experiences of the charity’s information and support services

Participants will be identified through NHS oncology and surgical clinics in 5 different geographical areas of the UK. An online version of the survey will also be available, and nationally promoted to people with a pancreatic cancer diagnosis using a planned publicity and communications campaign (appended).

Pancreatic Cancer UK will use this information to help develop the case for the provision of specific support services, and to measure the success of their new strategy Taking it on Together.
