Research summary
We have developed a personal organiser for patients who have a lung disease called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). We are keen to assess whether this personal organiser is of value to patients with IPF who attend Aberdeen Chest Clinic. Patients who wish to participate are asked to use the organiser for up to a 6 month period. At the beginning and end of the 6 month period they are asked to fill in a 5-10 minute questionnaire and, should they wish, participate in a discussion group led by a member of the British Lung Foundation asking them what they thought of the personal organiser. The results of the research will be written as a report and possibly published at a chest conference so others can learn of the results.
