Research summary
This study aims to evaluate psychological distress and its relationship with hope and illness perceptions in cancer patients participating in early phase clinical trials. Participants will be requested to complete self-reported questionnaires at the following time point along the clinical trials pathway: consenting to take part in a clinical trial, following screening for the trial and at approximately 4 weeks following pass or fail at screening. Participants who passed screening will also be asked to complete questionnaires approximately 8 – 10 weeks post-screening.
