  • Research summary

The purpose of this follow-on project will be to identify the feasibility of recruiting to the programme and barriers to providing such care in the NHS. We plan to develop an NHS pathway of the factors that are valuable to take forward into NHS as standard care. In addition the study will determine elements to consider for a larger clinical trial. The patients that seemed to benefit most in the previous programme, were those with functional issues brought about through complex lower limb trauma but there is potential for such a programme to benefit patients experiencing all forms of musculoskeletal (MSK) major trauma.
