Research summary
This study is the first part of a feasibility study to engage, recruit and retain vulnerable adolescents (aged 14-19) in the research process. Effective engagement, recruitment and retaining of vulnerable adolescents in research allows researchers to effectively study the population and work with them to develop interventions that work best at serving this vulnerable group.
The research involves focus groups with vulnerable adolescents at services they already engage with, to ask them their opinions on research involvement, how they feel they and their peers can be engaged, recruited and retained in the research process. This allows the participants themselves to help develop a process that would engage them. Results from these focus groups will form the strategy for a further piece of researchREC name
