Research summary
The eNewborn European Neonatal Benchmarking and Evaluation Programme is a European benchmarking programme for neonatal units. The Programme aims to identify variation in newborn care and outcomes in order to assist neonatal units to improve care. Neonatal units across Europe are invited to participate in eNewborn.
Participating neonatal units are able to access the eNewborn website and view benchmark measures of clinical care locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. Present measures include admissions by gestational age, clinical outcomes including mortality, and details of care provided such as retinopathy of prematurity screening.
