Research summary
Treatment Naive Ocular Hypertensive eyes with IOP of 24mmHg or above eligible for SLT treatment as per Moorfields treatment protocol and National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE Guidelines) will undergo DSLT treatment.
Patients will be followed for 12 months with strict intervention criteria for either repeat DSLT or introduction of medication. Those patients who require additional treatment (Repeat DLST or Medication) will not exit the study and a separate analysis will be done on this cohort in addition to the overall cohort of treated patients.
IOP and medication count will be recorded (fixed combinations will be counted as two separate drops) at 6 and 12 months, with a medication washout for those on treatment at 12 months.
Potential adverse effects will be assessed and recorded during the entire follow up as will secondary interventions including repeat DSLT, cataract and glaucoma surgeries.REC name
