Research summary
The pre-operative x-rays of patients selected for TAR surgery 5-6 years ago will be analysed to investigate whether their ankle alignment was normal or deviated prior to TAR. These patients will be sent questionnaires to determine the outcome (in terms of both function and pain) of their surgery 5-6 years post-operatively. These outcomes will then be correlated against the original x-rays to determine if patients with a substantial mal-alignment have different outcomes than those with a subtle mal-alignment
