Research summary
The ECHO Intervention study seeks to test the effectiveness of a targeted intervention (ECHO) on the communication skills of children under 24 months with significant language difficulties and social communication difficulties. It also seeks to evaluate if there is any noticeable effect of the targeted intervention on the parent-child interaction and parent/caregiver wellbeing. The study will employ quantitative and qualitative data collection methods to better understand the intervention processes that are acceptable to parents/caregivers and baseline and endpoint outcome measures to evaluate effectiveness.
