  • Research summary

The study will pilot dedicated nurse-led clinics for patients with ankylosing spondylitis or psoriatic arthritis who require biologic therapy. The enhanced clinic appointment will be 45 min versus 30 min and will offer two additional appointments per year compared to current service. The clinics will collect additional information not routinely collected. The information will be analysed with the aim to find out how to develop better patient service and care and improve access to effective treatments. It is anticipated that this new model of care will improve time from referral to biologic therapy to initiation of treatment and management and monitoring procedures post commencement of treatment.
