    Following a total hip relacement patients are susceptable to the formation of DVT. It is known that one of the causes of DVT is reduced blood flow due to the inactivity of being hospitalised. Calf compression can be used to increase blood flow, and this is standrad care at the hospital(s) taking part in this study. This study compares blood flow using calf compression with a novel electrical stimulation device called a geko™
