Research summary
We propose a study where we examine the efficacy of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) to reduce recurrence in dorsal wrist ganglia (DWG). PRP is produced by spinning a sample of the patients blood. DWG are cystic collections arising from the wrist joint. We will compare aspiration alone and with injection of PRP under ultrasound guidance. Email and/or telephone follow up at 6 weeks and 12 months with a ganglion questionnaire and PEMS score.
