Research summary
This project will explore patients attitudes to the development of research that examines the association between weather and arthritis, through the collection of self-reported symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis pain using mobile devices and Global Positioning System (GPS) linked to weather data and patients passive movement.
In order to examine weather and pain severity in patients and develop a validated tool for data collection this project aims to 1) understand patients views and motivators for regular data collection, 2) co-design the user interface and 3) pilot data collection to understand the feasibility, usability and acceptability of a smartphone application.
