  We intend to collect skin fibroblasts from patients with early-onset brain disorders in order to generate patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells (IPSCs). The IPSCs will be differentiated into primitive neurons which will be used to model the brain disorders. This research will give us insights into fundamental disease processes and highlight cellular phenotypes that can be employed in future as biomarkers for diagnostic and drug screening purposes.
