  • Research summary

Leg ulcers are painful, often long lasting wounds that significantly reduce patients' quality of life. They can be difficult to treat, as patients are required to wear very tight compression bandages or stockings 24 hours a day, sometimes for many weeks. Some ulcers are caused by blood flowing in the wrong direction along the long veins of the leg. This study is designed to determine the effect on the time taken for ulcers to heal by blocking these damaged veins with surgical glue.
