Research summary
This study will be collecting and analysing clinically collected data from patients who have been recommended a mediastinal biopsy for the evaluation of their condition. This study aims to evaluate the feasibility and safety of a new biopsy technique that is routinely used within the NHS called Through-the-Channel Cryoprobe Extraction (TTCE) in mediastinal cryobiopsy. This method allows sample retrieval without removing the bronchoscope, potentially improving the efficiency and safety of the procedure. NHS hospitals collect data from this method as part of clinical care. This study will use this data to answer the research questions.
