  • Research summary

It is known that many workers in the UK do not have access to Occupational Health Services. Previous surveys of patients with hearing impairment have suggested high rates of unemployment and early retirement, related to the difficulties posed by hearing loss at work. Occupational Health Services have an important role to play in improving outcomes for hearing impaired employees. This study looks to identify trends in a hearing employed population that may help services and practitioners meet the needs of employees with hearing impairment in the future.
