  • Research summary

Chronic antibody mediated rejection (cAMR) is among the leading causes for long term graft failure with limited treatment options. The early identification of patients at risk for cAMR is of utmost importance and requires the identification and validation of non-invasive and specific biomarkers of impending cAMR. Utilising the CERTAIN registry (European web based paediatric renal transplant registry), a cohort of renal transplant patients with cAMR will be indentified. A blood and urine sample will be taken for the determination of diagnostic markers with the aim of identfiying new markers for cAMR and defining a prediction model for the occurrence of cAMR in renal transplant patients.
