  • Research summary

The project aims to discover effective ways for the design of technology applications, for example mobile phone applications for safeguarding children and young people. It will focus on children and young people's own self-management and managing their safeguarding risks. It will explore children and young people positioned as partners in sharing information in real time with professionals. The professionals are those based within a Local Authority Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). The overall aim is to maintain the child's journey for a child centred approach in line with current policy and legislation following the Munro Review of Child Protection (DfE, 2011).
