Research summary
We will compare the outcomes associated with the following two courses:
1. a traditional 2-3 week antenatal parent education class, which is currently offered to all prospective mums and partners in a locality of North Birmingham.
2. a new 5 week relationship based antenatal course, called "Understanding Your Pregnancy, Labour, Birth and Baby" which is currently offered to all pregnant mums and their partners in Solihull. We will use a set of questionnaire measures just before each course starts, and repeat them at the end of each course. We will also administer some further questionnaires after the baby is born. We will compare the data statistically to see if there are any significant differences between the two courses.
