Research summary
The purpose of the study is to measure the visual performance that is achieved when wearing a contact lens with a black ring towards the edge of the lens and to compare this with the visual performance achieved with a contact lens of the same design without the ring.
The black ring design that is being used in this study is incorporated into the contact lens material in the same way that features are incorporated into custom designed cosmetic contact lenses.
