Research summary
This consultation exercise is designed to solicit the views of residents and care staff in care homes for old/er people.
We intend to use focus groups(one for residents and one for staff) using scenario style questions to ask for views on the importance of studying sexuality and intimacy in this context and how any subsequent research on this topic should be framed, planned and implemented. This exercise should form the basis of national research (with full NHS clearance) based on biographical method and aims to contribute to user wellbeing and selfesteem.
Funding would need to be sought for such a national project.REC name
