Data collection arrangements
Samples will be collected from Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, specifically from the following Trust locations; Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary and community clinics.
Samples will be stored in the Biobank facility located in the CADET/MDC Building, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Clinical Sciences Centre, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9WL
Identification and approach of participants will be by Surgeon/Clinician aware of the ComplexWounds@Manchester Biobank, and consent of the participants will be by Research Nurse
Research programme
The ComplexWounds@Manchester Biobank will supply samples to researchers working in complex wounds at University of Manchester, partners of MAHSC and external applicants working in this disease area. Samples will be made available on a 'project specific' basis, tailored to the individual needs of the researcher. The ComplexWounds@Manchester Biobank plays an important role in MAHSC by providing high quality tissue samples for researchers and basic scientists supporting the key research theme of complex wounds.
