Research summary
A human volunteer study whereby blood is sampled from the same participants at the same time via five different methods. These methods will be using Tasso sampling devices, capitainer cards, VAMS, collection of menstrual blood, and by venepuncture. These samples will then be analysed and compared for differences in metal levels. This data will be used to assess potential contamination via different methods and whether patient-led methods have the potential for wider use in elemental assessment studies.
