Research summary
This is a study to compare the use of ultrasound and plain radiographs in the detection of joint erosions in patients with SLE. We aim to recruit patients who meet the classification criteria for SLE and carry out musculoskeletal ultrasound according to a stated study protocol. We will then carry out plain radiographs in the individual and compare the rate of detection of erosions using these two methods
