Research summary
This is a study of physical activity levels in children with type 1 diabetes as compared with a control group. In the UK, there is government mandated exercise levels recommended for children of 60 minutes every day and children with chronic illness are not exempt from this. In the case of diabetes, with increased risk of cardiovascular disease exercise may be more relevant.
This study will use a validated questionnaire to compare activity levels in children with type 1 diabetes compared with a conrtol group. The questionnaire also asks for weight and height and BMI relating to activity levels is a secondary outcome measureREC name
