Research summary
This is a feasibility study to explore the effectiveness and acceptability to participants of a digitally-delivered health and well-being support programme (‘Community Creates’). Participants will be patients living independently in the community within the boroughs served by Chelsea & Westminster Hospital who have received a diagnosis of dementia. They will be offered opportunities and support to access and take part in creative wellbeing resources and activities online.
The aim is to understand whether a programme of this kind can address feelings of loneliness and social isolation affecting the wellbeing of people living with dementia. It will also explore whether the programme is acceptable and of value to the participants.
Its findings will help to inform further development, implementation and evaluation of this service and others like it.
