Research summary
The human body has a complex immune system, comprised of many different cell types which are activated or deactivated at different times in response to different stimuli. Responses can vary greatly between different people.
You are being asked to donate a blood sample for immune response research, which will indicate which cells are prominent in healthy people and provide reference values in this population.
This sample will be analysed with the TruCulture® assay to assess immune response of your body. This may be related to how drugs are metabolised by your body.
The sample will only be used for these purposes as outlined in this information sheet. We will not use the samples you donate for other purposes.
The main purpose of this study is to validate (check if it works correctly) this system. Data collected will help with future research and clinical research studies. The Sponsor aims to validate the system prior to its use in future studies investigating new treatments for a variety of diseases.
This is a validation study in healthy male subjects conducted at a single clinical unit consisting of 1 visit. Participants will be pre-screened in order to select and enrol 5 healthy donors who will provide a blood samples to be analysed via the TruCulture® system.REC name
