  • Research summary

Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM) is now the most common type of diabetes in young people. We know that T2DM in older people (aged 65 years and over) can lead to many complications, including deficits in cognition: affecting attention, concentration, learning, memory and planning/organisation. However, much less is known about the effect of T2DM on cognition in younger adults (aged 18-64 years). This research is intended provide a preliminary exploration of cognitive function in people with T2DM aged 18-55 years.
