Research summary
In this study we will utilise the commercial implementation of the QRAPMASTER sequence, called Synthetic MRI (SyMRI), in order to acquire MR images. The ability of SyMRI to simultaneously acquire data from which all conventional MR image contrasts can be reconstructed gives rise to its primary advantage: the ability to acquire whole brain imaging in approximately 6 minutes. The study aims to include 50 adult patients at ICHNT, who will undergo 1 MRI scan. While imaging of the brain and spine are the primary interest of this study, it is also possible that other non-neuro applications of SyMRI will be examined. The scan will be part of their clinical care and the SyMRI sequence will add 6-12 minutes to the scan.
