  This qualitative study will explore service user, carer and professional attitudes towards physical health care planning within mental health services. Data from focus groups with service users, carers and mental health professionals will be used to develop a measure of user/carer involvement in physical health planning for mental health service users. This measure will be a patient reported outcome measure or 'PROM’ and will meet key criteria identified as being important by service user/carers.
