Research summary
People living with CKD value their family members' involvement in their care. However, the role of family members in people with CKD’s management decisions is under-researched. Little is known around family members' needs and how health services can better support families. This study will recruit a sample of family members from NHS renal clinics and / or hospice settings and / or through the charity Kidney Research Yorkshire. The sample will be interviewed, and the interviews will be analysed using qualitative analysis. The relative with kidney disease may be in treatment currently or may have passed away.
