Research summary
The study is looking to see the sexual behaviour of HIV positive men who have sex with men in the UK, Greece and Spain. In particular, we’ll be looking at how common ‘Chemsex’ is amongst men who have sex with men who are attending a clinic for HIV care, in clinics in the UK, Greece and Spain. ‘Chemsex’ is the use of certain drugs (crystal meth, ketamine, mephedrone, cocaine and GHB/GBL) when having sex. It is an anonymous questionnaire, so no personal details are collected, and it will not be seen by the doctor or nurse nor recorded in the patient's notes. There will be some questions about whether participants use ‘Chems’ and also about sexual behaviour, sexually transmitted infections and a few details about HIV treatment. There will also be questions about general physical and mental health and whether there are services available if there is a perceived problem related to using ‘Chems’.
