  • Research summary

Chemotherapy causes the death of cancer cells. We wish to see if a special type of scan, called a PET scan, can be used to measure cell death in patients with lymphoma a type of cancer affecting the lymph nodes. To do this we will use a a very small amount of a chemical called ICMT-11 which has a radioactive label so that the scanner can detect it in the body. We will scan patients before treatment and soon after the first treatment and compare the results to see if any change has occurred.
