Research summary
Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic fever (CCHF) virus is a neglected emerging pathogen, which causes widespread and fatal epidemics in humans. There are no widely approved vaccines against CCHF virus.
As part of an EU-funded project (CCHFVaccine), there is a work package on identification the immune signature of CCHF patients. The results will inform CCHF vaccine development and help to answer questions about what responses are associated with difference severities of diseases and protection against different lineages of virus strains.
