Research summary
A case series of patients attended to by Advanced Paramedic Practitioners (Critical Care) within the London Ambulance Service who show signs of cardiopulmonary resuscitation induced consciousness. This study will attempt to summarise the key characteristics of this phenomena, describe different management strategies utilised and how effective the clinician believed they were, and report on the outcome for the patient. The study will hopefully enhance awareness of the increasing frequency of this condition and highlight the need for internationally recognised guidelines to assist clinicians the manage this patient group.
