  • Research summary

In this pilot 2 year study, the study team would ask all attending routine surveillance colonoscopy to provide a stool sample for a Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) before colonoscopy. Patients would have to colonoscopy as planned. Feasibility and acceptability of FIT testing would be assessed. The FIT results would be matched with colonoscopy findings to determine a cut-off level which predicts a negative colonoscopy.
