Research summary
Many patient treated for cancer perceive complementary alternative medicines CAM as safe and are unaware of the problems that can happen when taken concomitantly with chemotherapy. The research is to find why people try CAM, who advises on their use, and patient awareness, ultimately to inform clinicians of patients behaviour and help prevent any complications. The study will be conducted in the day unit in the Norfolk and Norwich hospital for cancer patient undergoing treatment over the period of 4 weeks.
