Research summary
The proposed study will gather qualitative data, through semi-structured interviews involving primary care professionals and practice secretaries, secondary care professionals, and patients or their carers/representatives. It aims to evaluate the impact of a newly introduced clinical decision support tool, C-the-Signs, which aims to support quality improvement by facilitating earlier cancer diagnosis. The study will evaluate, acceptability, ease of use, perceived barriers and facilitators to adoption, and experiences of cancer referral services among a selection of patients.
