    The BSIR is a single centre, retrospective, observational registry study based at Barts Health NHS Trust. The aim of the study is to understand the characteristics and outcomes of patients with valvular heart disease (VHD).
    Any patient aged 16 years or older with VHD referred to Barts Health NHS Trust will be included in the registry. Analysis will be performed on pseudonymised data: comparative analysis of clinical characteristics between different populations with VHD, outcome analysis, assessment of diagnostic accuracy of various indicators/markers of outcomes and predictors of outcomes using regression analysis and computational modelling and simulations. The study will take 5 years up to 1/4/2026.
