• Data collection arrangements

  Tissue will be stored in the biobank located on Level 7 of the Bristol Royal Infirmary. This is managed by the University of Bristol. Additional tissue may be stored in the Medical Sciences Building at the University.

• Research programme

  The Biobank will support research across a range of therapeutic areas in Bristol and beyond. The stakeholder group is made up of a diverse range of scientists and clinicians from the Biomedical Research Units in Nutrition and Cardiology, the Oncology research team, Infection and Immunity and the Ophthalmology research group. The collection of a wide range of samples will allow a coordinated approach to research of complex conditions and will encourage collaborations to develop.
